Animals Invisibles: mite, vida, extinció i desextinció

Invisible is that which we do not see, because it is outside our capacity of vision, because it is so scarce that we find it hard to spot, or because it hides from humans. The past and legends are also part of an invisible world that is very important for our life on Earth.

We have imagined invisible people and cities, and we have written about that. Now the time has come to do the same with other animals. At this time of enormous planetary stress, biodiversity is key to guaranteeing good global health.

Regarding animals, there are many species that we are unaware of despite their importance in maintaining the balance of ecosystems.

Making the lives of these animals and the stories surrounding them visible helps us to recognise them as a substantial and indispensable part of our world. Invisible animals are mythical, extinct or, above all, alive, and they link us to realities that often seem like fantasies.

For this reason, all the more reason, we want to care for and protect them.
