Overview

El Planetario hosts an exhibition that showcases the beauty and mystery of the Moon through the creativity of artists and the work of male and female scientists.

The exhibition, curated by Elena Blanch, María Angeles Salvador, César González, Jorge Eloy Cruz, Eugenio Bargueño, Telmo Fernández, and with the collaboration of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC) and El Planetario, presents a selection of plastic arts works, sculptures, paintings and drawings, as well as audiovisual installations from the main lunar missions.

The artists invite visitors to explore their relationship with the Moon and to reflect on the infinite potential of space exploration through a multi-dimensional journey that unites art, mythology and science, while highlighting the magic and beauty of the natural satellite.

Participating artists include Jesús Alberto Bañuelos, Eugenio Bargueño, Fernando Bellver, Dis Berlín, Elena Blanch, Javier Clavo, Valerie de la Dehesa, Iria Groba, Javier de Juan, Sigfrido Martín Begué, Javier Olaciregui, Manuel Ortiz, Moncho Otero, Carmen Pérez, Horacio Romero, Francisco Rosas, Delhy Tejero, Pedro Terrón, Eduardo Úrculo, Jorge Varas and Julio Zachrisson, among others.
