An exceptional date with Maxim Vengerov, considered one of the great violin legends of recent decades. Admired for the depth of his interpretations, his astonishing technique and an out-of-this-world musicality, Vengerov tackles Sibelius's Violin Concerto, one of the most demanding and fascinating works in the entire violin repertoire.

The programme is completed by Glinka's brilliant Ruslan and Ludmila Overture and Dvořák's luminous Symphony No. 8, one of the Czech composer's most inspired and optimistic scores. An evening of great virtuosity and symphonic splendour presided over by one of the most influential figures in international classical music.
