Barcelona = (Diversitat + Intensitat) x Complexitat

In the current context, contemporary architecture faces major challenges, such as adapting to climate change, preserving heritage and safeguarding people's health. In this scenario, the city is both the challenge and the laboratory where all this is put to the test.

This exhibition is an invitation to observe what a city is today, taking as its prototype Barcelona, World Capital of Architecture 2026. Its exploration unfolds through three axes.

Diversity, which allows us to discover who inhabits the city; intensity, to understand how the close relationship between people and community life can generate shared responses; and the axis of complexity, which serves to read the relationships that arise in a living Barcelona that learns and transforms itself.

The result is a space open to experiencing Barcelona not as a fixed image, but as a sequence in motion. A city that looks back at itself, questions itself and reinvents itself, to imagine a fairer, more sustainable and collective urban future.
