Arlo Parks — Desire Tour

Arlo Parks arrives in Barcelona as part of the Desire Tour series to present her universe of alternative pop and urban poetry.

Arlo Parks is the musical project of the British artist active since 2018 who leaped to international prominence with her debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams, released via the Transgressive Records label. Her repertoire combines indie pop textures, contemporary R&B and spoken word, with introspective lyrics that address mental health, youth and personal relationships.

Live, the proposal transfers to the stage with organic instrumentation and a sober staging where the voice takes centre stage in the performance. The concerts usually review both the tracks from that first work and the songs from her subsequent discography in a tour format that prioritises closeness with the audience.

The event takes place at Sala Apolo, a regular venue for live pop and independent music in Barcelona. The attending audience usually brings together listeners interested in the new currents of contemporary singer-songwriter music and alternative pop of recent years.
