Overview

The exhibition "Arquitectura | Oficis" proposes an approach to architecture from its material, constructive and cultural dimension, focusing on the dialogue between architecture and craftsmanship.

The exhibition brings together major studios that share a sensitivity towards materials, processes and execution, among them RCR Arquitectes, B720, Mesura, AIA, Batlle i Roig, Bofill Taller de Arquitectura, Lagranja Design and GCA Architects.

Each studio presents a piece or intervention conceptualised from a real project, produced in collaboration with one or several artisans. These pieces make it possible to understand how specific architectural decisions translate into matter, technique and constructive detail.

The exhibition combines the presentation of the proposals with documentation of the processes that made them possible, showing the complete journey from the idea to its materialisation.

In this way, it proposes a reading of architecture that transcends the formal and highlights the technical knowledge, material intelligence and manual work that intervene in its development.

The exhibition "Arquitectura | Oficis" is also born with the desire to make visible the encounter between architecture and craftsmanship as a space for dialogue between two disciplines that have played a fundamental role in our cultural and constructive history, and whose connection we consider essential for the present and future of architecture.

Through this exhibition, the aim is to claim the value of these synergies as part of our identity and cultural heritage, as well as to encourage new generations of architects and artisans to commit to forms of collaboration based on shared knowledge, experimentation and material excellence.

Likewise, the exhibition aims to give visibility to the work of great creators and help place them on the map, generating a propitious context for the recognition of their practices and for the promotion of new collaborations
