Overview
Habaneras arrive in the square to slow down the rhythm, sing familiar choruses and get carried away by traditional sailor songs.
The habanera group Mar i Vent was founded in Barcelona in 1995 and has since spent three decades sharing its music across various stages in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and other locations.
With a repertoire that combines classic habaneras with original songs and other styles, the group offers evenings full of emotion, memories and great harmony.
Formed by four members featuring three voices, guitar and accordion, Mar i Vent invites the audience to sing along and experience a truly nautical village festival atmosphere. Rum cremat (burnt rum) during the interval!
