Corral Cervantes

Organised by the Fundación Siglo de Oro, the new season of the Corral Cervantes initiative is presented, featuring performances of great classical plays. This season will begin in October 2026 and will stage La dama boba, El perro del hortelano, Amor secreto hasta celos, Don Gil de las calzas verdes and La francesa Laura at the Nave de Terneras space located inside the Centro Cultural Casa del Reloj (until the improvement works at the Corral Cervantes are completed)

Corral Cervantes returns once again to become a major celebration of Baroque performing arts with the staging of several shows over 6 months that can be seen in the Sala Cervantes. A gathering organised by the Fundación Siglo de Oro (FuSO), in collaboration with Beon Worldwide, and with the institutional collaboration of the INAEM of the Ministry of Culture, the Community of Madrid, the Government Area of Culture, Tourism and Sport of Madrid City Council, its General Directorate of Cultural Programmes and Activities, its General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, the Arganzuela District Municipal Council and the Festival Iberoamericano del Siglo de Oro-Clásicos en Alcalá.

All the plays are brought to you by the Fundación Siglo de Oro company, which was awarded the Gold Medal of the Performing Arts in 2018 for its commitment to the recovery, production and dissemination of Golden Age texts. It was the first company to represent a non-English-speaking author at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London with the staging of El castigo sin venganza. Since 2017 it has been the promoter and creator of the Festival Fiesta Corral Cervantes, where they have performed more than 142 shows.
