Overview
Monopol Madrid hosts a listening session by producer and composer David August in collaboration with Monopol LAB.
David August has developed a career linked to experimental electronic music, contemporary composition and instrumental textures. His work moves between club electronics and the classical concert format, incorporating influences from ambient, minimalism and live improvisation. In his performances, the artist usually combines analogue synthesisers with acoustic elements and real-time digital processing, constructing a repertoire that prioritises attentive listening over the conventional dynamics of a dance session.
This proposal is aimed at an audience interested in the margins of current electronic music and expanded listening formats. Monopol Madrid provides the appropriate space for these types of encounters where the sound and layout of the venue focus attention on compositional detail and the atmosphere generated on stage during the development of the repertoire.
