Estebanillo González

Teatro Lagrada presents from 8 to 11 October the adventures of Estebanillo González, a professional jester in the service of the powerful Duke Octavio Piccolomini who lives carefree in the tavern he runs in Naples.

Alongside his comrades, the poet Gabriel de la Vega and Captain Gerónimo de Bran, Estebanillo stages his misadventures in the Thirty Years' War in Europe for those who frequent the tavern. Throughout the plot it is discovered that the jester also works as a spy for Piccolomini, whom he informs about his companions' shady dealings.

Jesús Peñas stars as Estebanillo González, accompanied by Raúl Rodríguez as the poet Gabriel de la Vega and Agustín Iglesias as Captain Gerónimo de Bran. Iglesias is also responsible for the dramaturgy and direction of the production, which features original music by Irma Catalina Álvarez.
