Florian Arbenz meets Greg Osby

Greg Osby saxophone · Nelson Veras guitar · Rafael Jerjen bass · Florian Arbenz drums In this transcontinental collaboration, acclaimed Swiss drummer Florian Arbenz joins London star pianist Ivo Neame, American sax legend Greg Osby and Swiss-Australian double bassist Rafael Jerjen to present Conversation.

Florian first collaborated with Osby in 1998 and, although their professional relationship has lasted for over 25 years, this is their first joint project with the London-based pianist Ivo Neame.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, drummer and percussionist Florian Arbenz has forged a reputation not only as a skilled musician, but also as a creative collaborator.

This is fully reflected in this new quartet, which brings together musicians with a rhythmic concept, a harmonic vision and an open playing style that takes the listener on a journey ranging from swing-filled solos and free improvisations to dreamy soundscapes.

With a long list of awards and top-tier international collaborations, the group's collective reputation is indisputable.

From Osby's numerous appearances on Blue Note records, to Ivo Neame's UK Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year award, to Florian Arbenz's European Culture Prize, each member of the quartet is a true musical powerhouse.
