L’oposició del polze

Laia Martí Puig's exhibition "L'oposició del polze" links textile production and artificial satellites in the context of the planetary present.

Through the artistic gesture of breaking down a space device, Martí Puig brings us closer to these technical objects, which discreetly fly over planet Earth while tracing some of the telecommunications of this post-digital era.

Likewise, the recycling of textile waste with which the artist transforms post-consumer fabric into an emerging sculptural material also entails a disassembly: into those elements and aspects that make up our clothing.
