Laura Diepstraten

Almería-born singer-songwriter and pianist Laura Diepstraten presents her show Notas de Salida at Intruso Bar on Tuesday 13 October. The performance offers a 100% accessible and inclusive concert where music serves as a meeting point for everyone, as part of the National Inclusive Production Itinerary project and with the collaboration of the Music For All Foundation and Madrid en Vivo.

Blind from birth, Laura Diepstraten has found an outlet for expression in music since her earliest years. At the age of four she began music lessons, at six she discovered her great passion for the piano, and at nine she decided to focus her path on this discipline. Her conservatory training enabled her to learn to read braille scores and continue developing as a pianist, performer and composer.

Originally from Pulpí, Almería, the young artist uses her songs to share personal experiences and observations of the world around her. Her work combines original compositions with the interpretation of pieces by other musical figures, exploring various genres, particularly classical music and Spanish pop. Notas de Salida brings that artistic identity to the stage at Intruso Bar through a performance conceived around inclusion and accessibility.

Her career includes accolades such as first prize in the 4th ONCE Musical Contest for Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, and victory in the 2021 Euro Low Vision Festival, a contest for visually impaired artists where she represented Spain. She has also received the Young Andalusia Award and the Andalusia Flag for the Arts in the province of Almería, as well as appearing on television shows such as La Voz Kids and Got Talent España.
