Lynyrd Skynyrd

Lynyrd Skynyrd arrive in Barcelona to run through the major tracks of their career in American southern rock and blues rock.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American southern rock, blues rock, and hard rock band formed in 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida, under various names before adopting their definitive moniker in 1970. Signed to Atlantic Records, the group released their debut album in 1973, laying the foundations for a sound characterised by the use of multiple guitars and strong roots in blues and country.

Live, the lineup performs the classic repertoire that cemented their status within the genre, combining extended instrumental passages with direct choruses. Lynyrd Skynyrd's concerts on stage typically maintain the classic instrumentation of guitars and keyboards that defines their studio recordings, structuring a set geared towards their best-known songs.

This performance at Poble Espanyol is aimed at audiences interested in the classic strands of North American rock. The concert offers the opportunity to hear live compositions by a fundamental band in the history of southern rock as part of Barcelona's musical programming.
