Mi madre

In keeping with Mi padre, Sabina y yo, Carlos De Matteis directs an entertaining play that portrays the unique relationship between a mother and her daughter, set against the backdrop of songs by Joan Manuel Serrat. This production can be seen every Saturday at Artespacio Plot Point, marking a new season for one of Madrid's longest-running shows, which has drawn over 100,000 audience members.

Following her separation from her husband, Penélope moves in with her mother. However, living together proves far from easy, as the two have such contrasting personalities that they constantly trigger a series of amusing conflicts that are both entertaining and moving in equal measure.

The eccentric mother and the formal daughter clash, finding themselves obliged to learn how to live together while they begin to restructure their lives and regain a sense of excitement for the future ahead. All of this is seasoned with the lyrics of Serrat, an artist who has composed some of the finest contemporary melodies about women.

Furthermore, after each performance, the audience can enjoy a glass of cava while chatting with the actresses in the show.
