Overview
As part of the Cerdà year, the Government of Catalonia, the Universitat Politènica de Catalunya (UPC) and the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC), through the Centre Obert d’Arquitectura, are organising the exhibition presenting ten projects formulated between 1859 and 1958 that, halfway between radical utopia and urban project, transformed the way of thinking about cities.
Drawing on the legacy of Ildefons Cerdà and other visionary urban planners, it offers a reflection on the transformative potential of these proposals in the face of the social, environmental and territorial challenges of various geographies.
