Overview
The show Pla per Roig reconstructs the historic interview that Montserrat Roig conducted with Josep Pla in the winter of 1972 for the magazine Destino.
This theatre piece transports us to 7 February 1972, the day when a young Montserrat Roig visited Josep Pla at his home in Llofriu to conduct an interview with him. The show recreates with a sense of humour and historical rigor that mythical encounter between two of the most relevant figures of 20th-century Catalan literature and journalism. Through their dialogues, we witness the clash of two worlds: Roig, a progressive writer and pioneer of feminism, and Pla, a conservative and already veteran author. It is a proposal that brings us closer to these two unique characters with lightness, allowing us to enjoy their genius and opposing versions of understanding the world.
