Refugi

Refugi, winner of the 2021 National Circus Prize, is a show that explores the physical and emotional balance necessary to confront fears, hopes and personal limitations.

Refugi is a show based on balances: the physical balance, which prevents falling off the wire, and the emotional balance, which helps to reconcile fears and hopes.

Refugi is a path that begins in the heart, passes through the stomach — where intuition plays a decisive role — and reaches the stage, where the audience gives continuity to this journey.

The show also depicts the struggle against the physical and energetic wear and tear brought by the passage of time, overcome through the tenderness and vulnerability of a character who reluctantly accepts all their limitations.
