Revolución cuántica

The 3rd floor of Espacio Fundación Telefónica hosts from 7 May to 11 October 2026 an exhibition that explores the essential principles of quantum mechanics and computing, unravelling how they work and the challenges they pose for the future, as well as inviting reflection on their technological, cultural and philosophical implications.

Since the mid-20th century, the practical application of quantum mechanics discoveries has driven a major technological revolution that has radically transformed our way of living. Thanks to it, advances such as semiconductors, lasers and modern electronics have emerged, which are fundamental pillars of today's digital society.

The appearance of quantum computers promises a leap in magnitude that is difficult to imagine, capable of solving problems that today remain unapproachable for classical computing, giving rise to what will be the new revolution, quantum computing.
