Teenage Fanclub

Teenage Fanclub perform in Barcelona. The Scottish band review their career of guitar pop at Razzmatazz.

Teenage Fanclub are a British rock band formed in 1989 in Bellshill, Scotland. The group's career took off with the release of their debut album, A Catholic Education, in 1990 via Creation Records, a key reference point for the independent scene of that decade. Their sound is characterised by vocal melodies and the use of guitars influenced by the tradition of classic pop and alternative rock.

Live, the outfit deliver their repertoire with a format centered on vocals and the instrumentation of guitars, bass, and drums. Their on-stage proposition remains faithful to the aesthetic of their records, without visual artifices, prioritising instrumental execution and the vocal harmonies characteristic of the group throughout their discography.

This date at Razzmatazz brings together fans of independent rock and the 1990s guitar sound. The venue's regular crowd attends to hear both the songs from their early works and more recent material from their live repertoire.
