Un Dios salvaje

Teatro Alcázar hosts the second season of Un Dios Salvaje from 2 October 2026, a version by Jordi Galcerán of the hit play by French playwright Yasmina Reza. Starring Luis Merlo, Eva Isanta, Juanan Lumbreras and Clara Sanchis, this play explores, with humour and sharpness, social and family conflicts and human nature in a contemporary context.

The plot unfolds when two couples meet to resolve an incident that occurred between their children. The conversation begins in a civilised manner, with a tone of tolerance and understanding, but quickly transforms into an out-of-control struggle. As the play progresses, what seemed like a simple disagreement turns into a confrontation where all the characters fight to maintain their position. In this process, the true nature of each one is revealed, giving way to the Savage God that dwells within them all.

Un Dios Salvaje (Le Dieu du Carnage) premiered in 2006 in Zurich, and quickly became an international phenomenon, with performances at the Théâtre Antoine in Paris and the Gielgud Theatre in London.
