Un Pingüino en mi Ascensor

The Madrid nasal-pop duo known as Un Pingüino en mi Ascensor, formed by José Luis Moro and Mario Gil, are performing on 16 October at La Sala in the Movistar Arena. This is an event where they will run through their best-known tracks such as Espiando a mi vecina and Atrapados en el Ascensor, and celebrate their 40 years in the music business.

The outfit emerged in 1985 led by José Luis Moro, and two years later they were signed by the DRO record label, which released their debut album. In 1988 the group was completed with the addition of musician Mario Gil on keyboards, guitar and vocals.

In 1999, following a six-year hiatus, the band released a live album, Pingúimatic. After that record, it was not until 2004 that they considered releasing another new album, Piromanía. In 2017 they released another record featuring the cover versions they usually perform live, rewriting the lyrics to 1980s international hits. In 2020 they surprised fans with El Fascinante Universo de Un Pingüino en mi Ascensor.

Now the band are returning to the stage with a very special tour celebrating their 40th anniversary in music, delivering the sing-along repertoire that defines their entertaining live shows.
