To mark the 175th anniversary of Canal de Isabel II and the 25th anniversary of Fundación Canal, photographer and visual artist Rosa Muñoz has created an intervention inside the Depósito de Plaza de Castilla, one of Madrid's architectural icons, offering a contemporary reinterpretation that links water, environment, art and sustainability. A project that can be visited from 21 April to 25 October.

Rosa Muñoz has created a large-format video installation in which the reservoir is deconstructed, fragmenting it into architectural elements that interact with water, in order to reconstruct them with a new perspective that speaks of the importance of water infrastructure and the value of water. The video creation is broadcast on four large LED screens forming a large prism in the centre of the interior enclosure of the reservoir.

This is a project where architecture and water coexist in perfect symbiosis, commemorating the channelling of water in our region and recognising the importance of this great engineering work.

Furthermore, to mark the anniversary, Fundación Canal offers the opportunity to obtain an original work by Rosa Muñoz, as the artist has created a photographic version of the video installation, which can be downloaded in high resolution from the foundation's website, ready to print with maximum quality.

The artist, with a solid national and international career, has exhibited in prominent cultural institutions and has participated in leading art fairs worldwide.
