About — The artist

Bryan Adams, born on 5 November 1959 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian-British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, photographer and actor.

He began his career in 1976 with the Canadian glam rock band Sweeney Todd, which he left after the success of their second album If Wishes Were Horses to pursue a solo career. He took a two-year break, returning in 1991 with the album that made him a global star, Waking Up the Neighbours.

A renowned songwriter, he has written hits for artists such as Joe Cocker (When the Night Comes, 1988). He sang the French version, Je suis là, me voilà, and other songs from the DreamWorks animated film Spirit, l'étalon des plaines, in 2002.
