About — The artist
Ibrahim Maalouf took the trumpet out of the jazz club and into arenas: born in Beirut, classically trained, he plays the quarter-tone trumpet invented by his father and blends jazz, Arabic music, pop and funk with infectious generosity. A multiple Victoires de la Musique winner and a prolific film composer, he has become France's most popular instrumental musician. His Paris concerts, brassy and communal celebrations, fill the biggest venues.
