About — The artist
Meute (also styled MEUTE) is a German techno brass band from Hamburg. Made up of eleven musicians (percussion, brass and saxophones), the group covers and arranges techno, house and deep house tracks by well-known DJs, augmenting them with electronic rhythms created using brass band instruments. In doing so, they aim to create "a new genre combining hypnotic driving techno and expressive brass band music", "thereby detaching electronic music from the DJ's decks".
Meute has toured Europe, America and southern Africa, performing in a variety of venues, including city streets, music festivals and classical concert halls.
