Yadegar Asisi's panorama shows Berlin in the 1980s, with the Wall as the defining feature of the city. The exhibition lets visitors retrace everyday life in the shadow of the division.
The exhibition The Wall at the Asisi Panorama Berlin focuses on the divided city in the 1980s. At its centre is a large-scale panorama showing the Berlin Wall as a concrete barrier cutting through the city. Visitors see how a day unfolds in this Berlin and can view the Wall, as it were, from above.
The venue is the Asisi Panorama at Friedrichstraße 205 in the Mitte district of Berlin. The house presents panoramas by the artist Yadegar Asisi and is therefore geared towards large-scale spatial installations.
The show is aimed at visitors interested in German division and Berlin during the Cold War, as well as guests who would like to get to know the city from an unfamiliar perspective. A visit is possible without a fixed sequence; the route leads through the exhibition space.
