This is a walking excursion designed for those who arrive in Alicante by ship and have a day ashore. On disembarking, a guide meets each traveller at the terminal holding an identifying sign and accompanies them to the point where the route begins.

The walk goes through the old town and stops at the Mercado Central, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, a Baroque square, and at the Explanada de España, lined with palm trees and paved with coloured mosaics. It then climbs to Santa Bárbara Castle, a medieval fortress set on Mount Benacantil, from whose grounds you can see the city, the Mediterranean and the surrounding coastline.

At the end of the visit, the service includes transfer back, either to the city centre or directly to the ship, so that the return to the port can be made with time to spare before the cruise departs. It is useful for those who have only one morning or afternoon in the city and prefer not to organise getting around on their own.
