Vatsel, piano Collard & Collard, late Clementi, London 1847 On 16 October at 19:30 h, the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona and the Associació Muzio Clementi de Barcelona present a new event in the Con Spirito series, dedicated to the figure of Muzio Clementi and the pianistic legacy of Classicism.

Entitled Con Spirito: Clementi i Haydn, l'art del piano clàssic, the concert will offer a journey through works by Muzio Clementi and Joseph Haydn, two fundamental composers for understanding the development of piano writing between the 18th and 19th centuries.

The programme will allow listeners to discover the affinities and unique qualities of two figures who contributed decisively to the establishment of the piano as a leading instrument. The performance will be given by M.

Vatsel, who will perform on an exceptional Collard & Collard, late Clementi piano (London, 1847).

The opportunity to hear this repertoire on a historical instrument provides a unique sonic experience and brings us closer with greater fidelity to the performance practices of the era.
