Feminismes Fílmics: 1976 - 2026. A partir de la col·lecció de la Filmoteca de Catalunya

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the First Catalan Women's Conference, this exhibition reviews the influence that the feminist movement has exerted in the field of cinema and video creation in the Catalan context, and how the ideas, demands and actions of this movement have been reflected in audiovisual works made by filmmakers, giving rise to a different way of thinking, feeling and creating moving images.

The exhibition presents nine newly created pieces that dialogue with the themes debated during those days: Work, Neighbourhoods, Family, Education, Media, Politics, Legislation, Rurality and Sexuality.

These pieces propose a re-editing of film fragments, video art works and television reports, all created by female filmmakers, produced between 1976 and the present day, and coming mostly from the Filmoteca's own collection.

Likewise, it is accompanied by a programme of screenings and activities that will feature the participation of some of these filmmakers and feminist thinkers.

Exhibition curated by Alexandra Laudo with the advice of Marta Selva and Anna Solà and produced by the Filmoteca de Catalunya. The editing of the audiovisual compilations is by Pilar Monsell.
