Hailing from there, the cradle of bands like The Chameleons, Magazine and of course Joy Division, are IST IST, a quartet that has already surpassed its first decade of career managing its destiny through its own record label, Kind Violence Records. With five albums under their belt, Adam Houghton, Andy Keating, Joel Kay and Mat Peters have developed a career that is like a tug-of-war between guitars and synthesizers: sometimes one wins and sometimes the other, but well-understood and even better-executed 80s nostalgia always wins.
