Saló d'art modern i contemporani "By Invitation"

Modern and contemporary art salon that the Círculo Ecuestre, a business club in Barcelona, devotes to painting under the concept Tramas abiertas, with works and encounters between artists, galleries and collectors.

This exhibition is the modern and contemporary art salon of the Círculo Ecuestre, the oldest business club in Barcelona. Its headquarters is a Modernista mansion located at the junction of Balmes street and Avenida Diagonal, and the club opens its rooms to selected exhibition projects with its own curatorship. The proposal focuses on painting.

Under the concept Tramas abiertas, the salon presents art as a space where new forms of social relationship, imaginings of the present and narratives of the future intertwine. It brings together encounters between artists from different geographies and generations, historic and emerging galleries, collectors, professionals and institutions. The route through the rooms shows how these perspectives dialogue with one another.

The project seeks to foster a culture of collecting in Barcelona, understood as a practice passed down through generations that places artists at the centre of the experience. Alongside the artistic programme, it includes a programme for collectors and sector professionals, a patronage programme and a cycle of talks. It is designed for those interested in contemporary art and collecting.
