Aracaladanza - Barroco (co)

Aracaladanza premieres from 5 to 7 February 2027 at the Centro Danza Matadero (CDM) a show that revisits the Baroque universe through imagination and play, combining classical music with contemporary sounds.

Under the direction of the Spanish-Argentine choreographer Enrique Cabrera, the artists Carolina Arija, Lydia Martínez, María Moguer, Aleix Rodríguez and Jonatan de Luis perform a production in which five performers (with a hen, or perhaps more) draw ethereal lines in the air that fade away like smoke. For almost an hour, and for all audiences who want to let themselves be carried away by wonder and delight.

Aracaladanza is a company founded in Madrid in 1994 by dancer Enrique Cabrera. Over its career, the group has created other major productions such as Nubes, Pequeños paraísos or Constelaciones, and has taken part in festivals in countries including Germany, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Morocco, the United Kingdom and Turkey.

It is regarded as an international benchmark in dance for family audiences and collaborates artistically and commercially with El Nudo, Compañía Teatral, based in Buenos Aires (Argentina). Among other awards, it has also received the 2008 Max Awards for Best Children's Show, Best Costume Design and Best Set Design for Pequeños Paraísos.
