Cançoner del poemari de Jordi Pàmies

A proposal combining eleven new pieces for mixed choir, performed a cappella, with contemporary Catalan poetry, based on the poetry collection by Jordi Pàmies.

The proposal combines new choral compositions with contemporary Catalan poetry, based on the poetry collection by Jordi Pàmies. It consists of eleven pieces for mixed choir, with soprano, contralto, tenor and bass voices, performed a cappella, that is, without instrumental accompaniment.

The pieces have been commissioned from Catalan composers, some of whom are award-winning and have an established career. The project is interdisciplinary: it brings together choral music and contemporary poetry, and each of the eleven works forms part of this joint proposal.

Cançoner is presented at the Sants Teatre in Barcelona, a venue that hosts concerts and performances in the city.
