Overview
Passion, freedom, desire and jealousy clash in one of the most intense operas of all time.
In 19th-century Seville, Carmen lives and loves by her own rules. Free, magnetic and indomable, she awakens an irresistible passion in Don José, a young soldier willing to leave everything behind for her. But when love turns into obsession and the charismatic bullfighter Escamillo enters the scene, feelings rush towards an inevitable destiny.
Georges Bizet's unforgettable music, where French romanticism meets melodies inspired by Spanish folklore, comes to life in a major production staged at the Teatre Apolo in Barcelona, featuring a symphony orchestra, solo singers, choir, ballet company, costumes and lighting.
A story of love and freedom. Universal music. One of the great operas of all time, live in Barcelona.
