El cristal entre nosotros. Retratos de lo íntimo

El Grup de Fotografia Ulldepeix presents the exhibition " El cristal entre nosotros. Retratos de lo íntimo ", a visual meditation on boundaries, solitude and connection within the urban environment.

In this collection, the window manifests itself as a fundamental paradox: a thin, transparent line that allows us to see, yet prevents us from touching.

Through these panes of glass, the photographer positions themselves as a silent observer of mute stories taking place behind the condensation of a bus, the window of a café or the light of a home.

The glass acts here as a shield preserving the privacy of others, transforming everyday life into a "silent film" where the viewer must imagine the sound and narrative of the moment.

The works explore the duality posed by John Szarkowski: photography as a window onto the outside world and as a mirror reflecting the author's subjectivity.

Through the narrative use of reflections, rain and condensation, the group challenges conventional perception, melting the subject into their surroundings across layers of superimposed reality.

Water droplets and condensation are not mere weather elements, but creative filters that invite us to embrace imperfection and the ephemeral.

In these images, out-of-focus elements cease to be a technical error to become an ally that highlights the emotional essence and the mystery behind the glass.

We invite you to cross this visual threshold and discover the stories that breathe, in silence, on the other side of the barrier.
