Overview
Programme devoted to works by Johann Sebastian Bach and his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, performed by the Délica Chamber Orchestra with Olga Yakushina on violin in the Sala de Cámara of the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid.
Johann Sebastian Bach was a German Baroque composer who served as cantor of the Thomaskirche in Leipzig. His son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach developed a galant style that anticipates the Classical period. The programme brings together works by both.
Among the pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach are the Violin Concerto BWV 1042, the Suite BWV 1068, the Concerto BWV 1056R, the Concerto for Violin and Oboe BWV 1060 and the Violin Concerto BWV 1041. From Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, the Sinfonia Wq 182/1 is performed.
The ensemble performing the programme is the Délica Chamber Orchestra, with Olga Yakushina on violin. The concert takes place in the Sala de Cámara of the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, a concert and performance venue located in the centre of the capital.
