Joep Beving

Dutch pianist and composer Joep Beving comes to Barcelona to perform his minimalist and melodic pieces.

Joep Beving is a composer and pianist originally from Doetinchem, Netherlands, and is part of the Deutsche Grammophon record label roster. His music is characterised by an accessible neo-classical style, focused on melodies played principally on the piano that seek to generate an atmosphere of introspection and calm. This instrumental approach moves away from complex technical artifices to prioritise direct emotion through pieces with a simple structure yet great sonic warmth.

Live, the concert on the venue stage is conceived as a sober and intimate experience, where Joep Beving performs his repertoire solo, allowing the acoustics and attention to detail to dominate the room. The format invites attentive listening, making it suitable for fans of contemporary instrumental music and those seeking a tranquil environment. The proposal fits naturally into the space of Sala Paral·lel 62, known for hosting intimate concerts in Barcelona, facilitating a direct connection between the artist and the audience throughout the musical journey.
