Overview
Julia Jacklin arrives in Barcelona to present her indie folk and independent pop compositions on the stage of La 2 de Apolo.
Julia Jacklin is an Australian singer, songwriter and performer active since 2013 who moves between indie folk, art pop and independent pop. Her recorded output includes her debut album titled Don't Let the Kids Win, released in 2016, a work that cemented her proposition within the contemporary scene with a sound based on instrumental intimacy and lyrical exposure.
Live, Julia Jacklin's concerts are usually structured around the performance of her repertoire with a line-up oriented towards highlighting the lyrics and subtle arrangements, prioritising an intimate and sober atmosphere over stage artifice. This proposition is particularly well suited for audiences fond of singer-songwriter formats and confessional-style songs.
La 2 de Apolo offers a close and direct environment, ideal for this type of performance where the exchange with attendees sets the tone for the evening. On this stop in Barcelona, the concert will bring together fans of the independent label and of the acoustic and electric sounds contained within the Australian artist's discography.
