L'entrada a un bosc, the second exhibition in the cycle Digues, cosa.

Joan Brossa i els poemes objecte, curated by Marc Navarro, takes as its starting point two object poems that Brossa designed as tributes, despite the fact that, notwithstanding their commemorative nature, they could be classified as counter-monuments.

Firstly, because they steer clear of the narrative and formal grandiloquence of conventional monuments, and secondly, because they contribute to restoring the memory of the victims rather than celebrating the victors.

To underline this inversion, the exhibition brings into dialogue sculptural, photographic, film and sound works by artists who, when addressing the notion of remembrance, permanence and absence, eschew epic grandeur and monolithic formalism.

While monuments are frequently designed as sutures of an official narrative—which is made and unmade, yet claimed to be permanent—the gathered works point out the excesses and omissions of this narrative.

Thus, issues such as anti-militarism or historical memory become structural; nevertheless, many pieces feature anatomical, organic and floral motifs.

By making bodies, flowers, the forest or bodily fluids present, the exhibition invokes a tenacious vitality while simultaneously turning these representations into manifestations of vulnerability and signs of passive resistance.

Coinciding with the opening of the exhibition on 25 April 2026, the Centre de les Arts Lliures of the Fundació Joan Brossa will host a screening of Annette Frick's video Cosmic Elements (or Secret Secretions), 2002-2003, and a recital by the poet German Chocero.
