La jove Aïda

La jove Aïda reinvents Verdi among virtual reality, retrofuturism and contemporary emotion. La jove Aïda offers us a reinterpretation of Verdi's emblematic Aida with musical arrangements that combine the essence of the original opera with new compositions.

Exploring the permeability of the boundaries between reality and fiction, the dramaturgy of La jove Aïda places us in a virtual world in which Aina, the young protagonist of this story, makes the conflicts and emotions of the characters in Verdi's opera her own and leads us to reflect on what is real about what we experience in fictions and what is fictional about what we experience in reality.

A technological and audiovisual staging that recreates the retrofuturistic aesthetics of early video games while allowing us to reinterpret from a contemporary perspective the mythical scenography that Josep Mestres Cabanes created in 1945 at the Liceu for the opera Aida.
