Miguel Lago - Miserable

Miguel Lago returns every Saturday from 19 September to 12 December to the Teatro Alcázar in Madrid with Miserable Parte II, his new show. The most prominent voice in national stand-up thus kicks off a new season on stage with a renewed proposal and completely unpublished material.

After making history in national comedy with his well-known Trilogía del HP, Lago recovers the spirit and way of doing humour that drive his career. The show incorporates new routines and stories while maintaining that sarcastic and voracious style that characterises the comedian.

Miserable Parte II also represents a return to his roots demanded by a large part of his followers, while allowing younger generations to discover Miguel Lago's humour. Each season presents a different show, in constant renewal and with content created specifically for this new stage. More than a monologue, it is conceived as an elegant, explosive and intensely paced comedy discharge, inspired by the ambition of major international shows.

The actor and comedian born in Vigo graduated in Hispanic philology before making the leap to the stage. After four years wandering around Galicia performing in small venues, he attended the first casting for El Club de la Comedia in the year 2000, being chosen among the top 20. From there he moved on to Paramount Comedy's Central de Cómicos, but became famous with his monologue Soy un miserable, a biting and hilarious portrait of human miseries.

He has also appeared on Onda Cero's Surtido de Ibéricos and in the Netflix series Las chicas del cable. Currently, he is a contributor to the Cuatro programme Todo es mentira, presented by Risto Mejide. Furthermore, in 2017 he published his first book: Gamberro y caballero.
