Overview
Showcase dedicated to flamenco and sevillanas, framed within world music, held at the Plaza de la Foguera in Barcelona.
The Mostra de flamenc i sevillanes brings together two traditions of Andalusian folklore, flamenco and sevillanas, in a world music event. The title places both styles at the heart of the programme, so the repertoire revolves around these two popular expressions of Andalusia.
The Plaza de la Foguera, at the junction of Meridiana avenue and Aragó street, is a Barcelona space where concerts and shows are staged. It is a world music proposal that brings flamenco and sevillanas to the city's audiences.
For anyone looking to hear these styles live, the event offers a first introduction to both genres in a single programme.
