Mular

A fable for children inspired by Catalan sea legends, in which two friends discover the Mular, a fantastical creature that divides a town between those who want to protect it and those who see it as a threat.

Mular is a show by the company Cinc Cèntims that draws on Catalan sea legends to build a story of adventure and mystery. Two friends discover the existence of the Mular, a fantastical being that provokes conflicting opinions: one part of the community wants to protect it, while another regards it as a danger.

The plot revolves around how a town reacts to what it does not understand, and the stance the protagonists take in the face of that tension. The show invites reflection on freedom, respect for nature and fear of the unknown, themes that are raised directly through the story and its characters.

The performance is designed for children. L'Atlàntida, Centre d'Arts Escèniques d'Osona, in Vic, is a venue that hosts shows and concerts, and it is where this production for the youngest audiences is being presented.
