Receptes del passat per a salvar el futur

This project has recovered traditional recipes and techniques from the seafaring cuisine of Barceloneta to highlight the role of women as guardians of gastronomic memory from the 18th century to the present day.

This vision promotes the use of discarded or low-value fish species and natural preservation methods to prevent food waste, connecting slow cooking, sustainability, and resilience in times of scarcity.

The compiled recipes are presented in an exhibition featuring historical panels and recordings of testimonies, as well as in a free recipe book available at the Barceloneta market.
