Track Dogs

Sala Galileo Galilei hosts a concert on 7 October by Track Dogs, one of the most unique bands on the international folk scene based in Madrid, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a special tour.

Formed in the autumn of 2006 in Madrid by two Irish musicians, an Englishman and an American, the group has forged a path marked by a blend of folk, Americana and acoustic music. Over these two decades, Track Dogs have established themselves thanks to their sense of humour and a highly dynamic live show that has enabled them to perform at festivals like Glastonbury and at landmark venues such as the Royal Albert Hall.

The band started out using a line-up based on guitar, cajón, trumpet and bass, instruments that have over time become an essential part of their image and logo. Over the years they have expanded their sound by incorporating the banjo, ukulele, mandolin and flugelhorn, evolving into a more diverse project without losing the acoustic and celebratory character that defines their concerts.

As part of their twentieth anniversary celebrations, the group released the double compilation album Tracks Laid, Tracks Covered in 2025. Furthermore, they are preparing new releases for 2026 to coincide with their most extensive UK tour to date, with more than forty concerts scheduled. They have adopted the phrase 'Still At The Music' as the overarching motto for their celebrations.
