About — The artist
The Sheepdogs are a Canadian rock band formed in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in 2004. The Sheepdogs were the first unsigned band to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone, before going on to a career marked by multi-platinum album sales and four Juno Awards.
The band's lead singer and principal songwriter, Ewan Currie, describes the band's guitar-driven blues-rock style as “pure, simple, and fun” music, with the band aiming, in his words, for a balance between Led Zeppelin and Crosby, Stills & Nash; he also cites Creedence Clearwater Revival, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and The Allman Brothers Band among his influences.
The Sheepdogs tour frequently between recordings. They have headlined tours across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Eastern and Western Europe, and Australia, and have performed at major festivals such as South by Southwest, Coachella, Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
