I Virtuosi dell’opera di Roma: Vivaldi's Four Seasons at Basilica of San Nicola in Carcere

I Virtuosi dell’opera di Roma perform Vivaldi's The Four Seasons at the Basilica di San Nicola in Carcere, a Roman venue dedicated to concerts and performances.

I Virtuosi dell’opera di Roma present a programme entirely dedicated to classical music, centring on The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, the celebrated eighteenth-century Baroque composer and author of numerous concertos for violin and strings. The concert forms part of the schedule of musical events hosted within the Basilica di San Nicola in Carcere, a place of worship in Rome that opens its doors to the public for live events.

Audiences who choose this event will encounter the melodic lines and counterpoint structure typical of Vivaldi's instrumental output, performed by musicians in a chamber ensemble formation. The hall of the basilica regularly hosts artistic and concert events, offering a historic architectural setting for listening to the Baroque repertoire. The performance is aimed at classical music enthusiasts and those wishing to hear central pages of the Italian instrumental tradition in a monumental space in the city, following the artistic path traced by the ensemble.
