The Four Seasons in Rome: Guided Tour & Baroque Concert

An event dedicated to baroque music in the Sala Laurentina, inside the Basilica di San Lorenzo in Lucina in Rome, combining a guided tour and a concert.

The programme features compositions from the baroque era, offering the chance to listen to some of the best-known pages of this repertoire. Baroque music developed between the early 17th century and the mid-18th century, characterised by the use of the basso continuo, contrapuntal complexity and the pursuit of strong emotional involvement through sound. Central figures of this period include Italian and European composers who defined the forms of the sonata, the concerto and the suite.

The concert takes place in the Sala Laurentina, located inside the Basilica di San Lorenzo in Lucina in Rome. This space regularly hosts cultural initiatives, concerts and performances, fitting into the historical and architectural context of the early Christian basilica situated in the Colonna rione. The event is aimed at those wishing to explore the city's musical and historical heritage through a journey that combines the discovery of monumental spaces with the live listening of classical pieces.
