Serena Placenti + Jam Session is a jazz evening at GIPSY in Milan, pairing Serena Placenti's project with a jam session, with musicians playing together on stage.
Serena Placenti + Jam Session at Gipsy (20133 Milano), from 29 to 30 October 2026. Free access.
Checked on 26 October 2026.
Overview
Serena Placenti + Jam Session is a jazz evening that brings together two distinct moments: a set by Serena Placenti and a jam session, that is, a part of the evening in which musicians take to the stage and improvise together.
GIPSY is a Milan venue dedicated to concerts and shows, and it hosts both parts of the programme. The format of the evening is the typical one of a jam session: collective improvisation is what sets the event apart from a concert with a fixed repertoire.
For jazz lovers, the evening offers two ways of listening to the same genre: a project presented by the artist and a space for shared improvisation, on a single occasion in the city.
